Jeremy, Alex, Carlos, Diana, Heidi, Amy, Amanda, and I went to a cabin in Packwood near White Pass for the weekend Packwood is nestled between Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams off Hwy 12 and about 15 minutes from the White Pass ski area There was a covered hottub off to the right We were expecting snow in Packwood, but it didn't start falling until Sunday morning There was also a river and mountains all around -- it was a great cabin! 3500 feet higher than Packwood was White Pass and several feet of snow! The snow was so powdery you could hardly make snowballs I likewise was making snowballs until I was tackled and thrown into the snow - I didn't think that was allowed Not counting when I was 3 years old, this is by far the most snow I've been in Diana was much faster in the snow Coming in for the attack with a hand full of snow More snow football -- it was so much fun! We even threw Amy to the ground after much "don't you dare" comments that we promptly ignored At least we helped her up Snow Angels Alex was impressed with the size of the icicles Diana used to teach snowboarding so she's going to take us out some day Diana grew up in Park City, Utah, so she's used to the snow Alex kept everyone laughing with his crazy jokes After a face plant in the snow The gals enjoying their hot coffee Amy and Amanda wisely staying away from the snow Truce We climbed to the top where there are some orange cones that you can just barely make out in this picture (to the right) Back in the cabin getting warmed up and napping and meditating Amanda sporting her candy necklace The love birds Reading Harrington on Hold'em But it didn't last for long Unfortunately everyone was still on top of me; Diana is a bit taller because she was sitting on my hip Again, getting warm by the fire Enjoying some wine The waltz The Amanda dance Crazy We ate very well - bbq chicken, manicotti and meatballs, eggs with zucchini and brussels sprouts Taking some final photos before leaving the cabin Goofballs We headed back to Olympia and the day got colder and the snow started falling (3 inches!)
