Jeremy and I headed to Mt. Rose to tackle another mountain in the Olympics We were the only ones in the parking lot. I don't know why, it was a perfect day for a hike and probably one of the last nice days we'll get for the rest of the year At the start Had my GPS watch to keep track of distance and elevation Change of 3500 feet in 2.9 miles = steep incline 1/3 of the way there It was nice that nobody else was on the trail Part of the sister mountain, Mt. Ellinor Only 1.1 miles to go The peak of Mt. Ellinor, which is over 1500' higher Almost there And we made it - what a beautiful day! Looking west into the Olympics Southeast towards Lake Cushman and the Sound I devoured my foot long Meconi's tuna sub; it was not an easy hike More gray jays greeted us at the top and wanted a piece of my sandwich Jeremy and the Jay Awesome Hike!
